About this Project
We are the proud developers of the North Ridge Wind Project, a utility-scale wind energy development project located near Burns Lake, B.C. The proposed Project is located in the shared territories of the Yekooche First Nation. We are pleased to have the Yekooche First Nation as partners and majority owners of the North Ridge Wind Project.
Project Location
We are actively investigating the feasibility of utility-scale wind energy development within the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako in British Columbia. The site is approximately 20 kilometres northeast of Burns Lake, B.C.
Project Development
With decades of collective experience, we have a team of internal experts responsible for taking projects from conception to commercial operations. Our team works in close consultation with local landowners, government agencies, First Nation communities, and local stakeholders to site, build, and operate our facilities safely and responsibly. In 2025, we obtained Licences of Occupation that allow the team to assess the site’s feasibility for development of a wind project. In 2026, Project development will include environmental studies such as biophysical and wetland evaluations, along with cultural and archeological reviews. Work has also continued to better understand the feasibility of wind development in the area including evaluating the wind resource and determining potential infrastructure locations.
The Project was submitted into the BC Hydro 2025 Call for Power. We anticipate BC Hydro will announce projects who were awarded an Electricity Purchase Agreement in early Spring of 2026.
As the Project is in the early stages of development, we are continuously looking to solicit feedback from First Nations communities and local stakeholders to understand and incorporate knowledge into its design.

Expected BC Hydro 2025 Call for Power
In July 2025, BC Hydro released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for clean or renewable resource projects that are cost effective, have a meaningful First Nations partnership, and can be operational before the end of 2033. If selected by BC Hydro under this RFP, all energy generated by the Project would be sold to BC Hydro under an Electricity Purchase Agreement for a fixed term of 30 years.
The RFP is structured to ensure B.C. has sufficient clean or renewable energy to meet future needs. It aligns with B.C.’s 2021 Integrated Resource Plan, which indicate the need to acquire approximately 5,000 GWh/year of additional energy by no later than October 2033.
The results of the RFP are expected to be announced by early Spring 2026. If awarded an Electricity Purchase Agreement by BC Hydro, the Project is expected to be built by October 2033. If the Project is not awarded an Electricity Purchase Agreement in 2026, we will continue to progress development in anticipation of a future BC Hydro power procurement.

On October 28, 2025, we hosted an open house for the North Ridge Project at the Burns Lake Heritage Church. This open house provided an opportunity for the community to learn more about the project, share feedback, and meet our project team.

Project Infrastructure
Project infrastructure will be comprised of wind turbines, electrical collection lines, upgrades to existing site access roads and additional site access roads as needed, an electrical substation, and a transmission line of approximately 25 kilometres to interconnect the Project into the BC Hydro electrical grid.
