New Community Scholarship Launched in Minnesota
We are excited to share the launch of our new BluEarth Renewables – Adams & Danielson Community Scholarship program in Minnesota.
This scholarship was created on behalf of the local Adams and Danielson Wind Facilities, which are owned in part by a subsidiary of BluEarth Renewables US LLC and local project owners. The scholarship recognizes a student who demonstrates strong academic performance, a commitment to bettering their community, and displays an interest in a field of study applicable to renewable energy.
“We are always looking for ways to make a positive impact in the communities where we live, work and operate, and this was a great opportunity to recognize a young, local leader,” said Scott Hossie, Vice President of Wind and Solar Operations at BluEarth Renewables. “We are proud to support this landowner-led initiative.”
“We want to invest in today’s youth because we recognize they are the future of our communities and renewable energy,” said Shari Frisbie, a local project owner.
“As project owners, we were glad to partner with BluEarth to contribute to the education of a local student. We were encouraged to see BluEarth’s commitment to community involvement in this tangible way,” added local project owner, Steve Bergo.
Each year, the scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior of the Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (ACGC) Public Schools located near the Adams and Danielson wind facilities in Minnesota.
The 2019 scholarship was awarded to Brittney Schultz who demonstrated all of the criteria, and we are proud to award her this scholarship as she enters her first year of post-secondary education. Her involvement in ACGC Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter, the Farm Business Management team, and various other community volunteering efforts made her a very strong candidate for this award.
