ESG in Action

Safety Focused Learning Management System

In 2022, we developed a new training and learning management system to improve both the delivery of safety training and the tracking of all progress. This included training matrixes for every role, increased in-person training for high-risk activities and the implementation of a new online program.

Hosting Honeybees

After a successful pilot program in 2021, our SparkleLight Solar Facility in Ontario continued to host honeybees in 2022. This facility features a mix of clover, wildflower and weeds as groundcover, which the honeybees forage and pollinate.

Hand Hills Wind Facility

In June 2022, our team celebrated ground-breaking at the Hand Hills Wind Facility in Alberta. The Project, located northeast of Drumheller, Alberta, reached commercial operation in early 2023.

Grow Calgary

We want the community to be stronger, because we’re there. In 2022, our Calgary team spent a day volunteering with Grow Calgary to support their farm operations, and BluEarth made a donation as part of our BluGiving Community Investment Program.
