BluEarth Announces Recipients of its 2018 Aboriginal Clean Energy Scholarship (ACES)
Calgary, Alberta – (October 31, 2018) BluEarth Renewables is pleased to announce it has awarded its 2018 Aboriginal Clean Energy Scholarship (ACES) to four recipients. This scholarship provides Canadian Indigenous students who have an interest in renewable energy, with financial support and skill development opportunities.
“We are proud to award this scholarship to four deserving students who demonstrated a clear passion for renewable energy,” said Grant Arnold, President and CEO. “Since we began ACES in 2014, we have awarded over $37,000 to Indigenous post-secondary students, and this remains an important part of our commitment to Canada’s Indigenous communities.”
In addition to financial support, the ACES scholarship program offers a unique opportunity for Indigenous students to be paired with a BluEarth learning partner for the academic year to provide support and mentorship, while learning more about renewable energy.
The 2018 ACES recipients are:
- Eric Kapilik, University of Manitoba
- Keshia Moffat, Royal Roads University
- Nettie Wallace, University of Manitoba
- Quinn Meawasige, Algoma University
