Sustainability in Action

Commissioning the quA-ymn Solar Facility

In 2025, BluEarth and our partners, Nlaka’pamux Nation Tribal Council (NNTC), achieved commercial operations on the quA-ymn Solar Facility located near Logan Lake, B.C. The Facility consists of over 39,000 solar panels and is expected to produce enough renewable energy to power more than 2,400 homes annually for up to 40 years.

Improving Aquatic Environments

In 2025, we invested roughly $1 million in improvements to the Chickwat compensation channel at our Narrows Inlet Hydro Facility. Working in close collaboration with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada and our First Nations partner, shíshálh Nation, BluEarth redesigned the channel to support more consistent water flow and habitat function.

Best in Class Safety Training

As operators of renewable energy facilities across North America, we are committed to ensuring every employee has the knowledge and training to complete their job safely. In 2025, our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team introduced an updated training program for all operators to ensure we are not only following industry standards, but best in class safety practices.

Protecting Our Assets from Climate Hazards

In 2025, we initiated an advanced sensor pilot program at our Wheatcrest Solar Facility in southern Alberta to monitor hail events in real-time. The HailSens system measures the kinetic impact of rain and hail and delivers real-time data to BluEarth’s 24/7/365 Remote Operating Centre (BEROC), enabling early detection of hail events that may pose a risk to our solar panels.
