Grant Arnold

President & Chief Executive Officer

Grant leads BluEarth’s executive team and guides our strategic growth. Grant joined BluEarth in 2011 as Vice President, Business Development and, subsequently, he was promoted to the role of Chief Operating Officer. In 2015, Grant became BluEarth’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Grant has over 25 years of commercial and technical experience in the energy sector including wind, hydro and solar development, construction and operations, natural gas E&P, natural gas operations, acquisitions, divestitures and business development. Grant has worked in Canada, the US and internationally.

Prior to joining BluEarth, Grant held several leadership roles in the renewable energy and natural gas business units at Suncor. Grant was responsible for overseeing Suncor’s Canadian wind power portfolio, including, at the time, joint venture interests for over 750 MW in development, under construction and in operation.

Grant received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Alberta. He also has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Calgary. Grant is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and the Institute of Corporate Directors. In September 2021, Grant was named a 2022 Clean16 and Clean50 award honoree by Delta Management Group and the Clean50 organization in recognition of his work to advance the cause of sustainability and clean capitalism in Canada.

Kelly Matheson-King

Chief Operating Officer

Kelly is a co-founder of BluEarth and has held the position of Chief Operating Officer since 2015. Kelly is responsible for leading our operations team across Canada and the United States, ensuring the safe and reliable operations of all of our renewable energy facilities. Kelly also leads BluEarth’s Health, Safety & Environment, Communications, and Risk & Compliance teams.

Kelly has over 20 years of experience in the North American renewable power sector. During that time, Kelly has provided key leadership in the permitting, development, and operations of many pioneering wind, hydroelectric and solar power facilities across a range of jurisdictions and power markets.

Prior to BluEarth, Kelly held leadership roles at TransAlta Corporation and Canadian Hydro Developers, providing oversight of the development of greenfield renewable energy projects and the operations of a diverse fleet of conventional and renewable power generation facilities across Canada and the United States.

Kelly holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science from the University of Calgary, and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors. She is a mentor with Creative Destruction Lab, and a founding member and mentor with Nature Canada’s Women for Nature.

Nick Boyd

Chief Financial Officer

Nick joined BluEarth in 2012 to support the company’s business development and growth. He became Chief Financial Officer in 2025 and currently oversees BluEarth’s strategic financial and capital planning, finance, accounting, and tax activities. Since 2012, Nick has played a key role in the company’s strategy and growth. He previously served as Chief Investment Officer, where he led acquisitions and development across BluEarth’s portfolio.

Prior to joining BluEarth, Nick worked at a subsidiary of MUFG (Union Bank), where he focused on project and corporate financing in Canada and the United States. Nick holds a Bachelor of Management (Finance) from the University of Lethbridge and a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University.

Shaun Wrubell

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, GENERAL COUNSEL & CORPORATE SECRETARY

Shaun leads the legal, corporate secretary, land contracts and privacy functions. He is also responsible for overseeing the ESG strategy at BluEarth. He works closely with the board of directors, shareholder and executive team on corporate governance matters.  Since joining BluEarth in 2016, Shaun has played a key role in numerous project acquisitions, negotiation of key partnership agreements and our expansion into new markets.

Shaun is a corporate lawyer with experience advising energy and power companies in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate governance, project development, joint ventures, ESG matters, government relations and lobbying, enterprise risk management, securities and capital markets and general commercial matters. Prior to joining BluEarth, Shaun was Senior Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary at Canadian Oil Sands Limited up to the time of its sale to Suncor and, prior to this, he was a corporate associate at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP.

In 2022, he was a finalist for a National Post and ZSA Legal Recruitment Western Canada General Counsel Award in the ESG category.

Shaun has a Juris Doctor (Law) and a Bachelor of Arts (Political Studies) from the University of Saskatchewan, a certificate in ESG, Climate Risk and the Law from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Competent Boards ESG and Sustainability Designation (GCB.D).

Josh Teigiser

Executive Vice President, Origination & Development

Josh is accountable for advancing BluEarth’s U.S. development portfolio, from development and construction through to completion. He also leads acquisitions and negotiates key commercial agreements. His understanding of the U.S. renewables landscape was built in leadership roles in wind, solar, storage, clean hydrogen, and distributed generation, and includes both greenfield and merger/acquisition activities. Josh is based in San Diego, CA.

Prior to joining BluEarth, Josh held the role of Managing Director, Origination & Clean Hydrogen at Origis. He has also held leadership positions at San Diego Gas & Electric, Sempra U.S. Gas & Power, Sempra Renewables, and Sempra Energy.

Josh holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an Executive Management Certificate from Harvard University.

Scott Hossie

Vice President, Operations

Scott is responsible for overseeing all operations in Canada and the U.S. to ensure smooth day-to-day operations as well as bringing new facilities into the operating portfolio. Prior to this, Scott was Vice President, Origination where he was responsible for generating acquisition opportunities, negotiating key commercial agreements and partnerships, and completing project financings. Scott joined BluEarth in 2011 as Director, Project Development and Construction where he played a key role in the acquisition, development and construction of BluEarth’s wind, hydro and solar projects.

Scott has 20 years’ experience in the development of energy and infrastructure projects. Prior to joining BluEarth, Scott held management positions at TransAlta Corporation and Canadian Hydro Developers.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Masters Degree in Geography from the University of Guelph, and he completed the Executive Leadership Program at Queen’s University.

Kim Carter

Vice President, People & Culture

Kim is responsible for delivering our human resources strategy, policy, and programs, and for providing functional leadership and guidance to our corporate and operations management teams.  Kim has over 20 years of human resources experience.

Prior to joining BluEarth in 2018, Kim was a member of the human resources team at Repsol where she was responsible for ensuring the successful integration of Talisman Energy with Repsol, to form one of the world’s largest global energy groups.  Kim has provided strategic human resources support and delivery for diverse organizations from start-up organizations as well as large global companies in the oil and gas, chemicals and manufacturing industries, including Calfrac Well Services, Devon Energy, Talisman Energy and Repsol.

Kim studied Sociology at the University of Calgary and at the University of Lethbridge and has a Masters of Business Administration from Royal Roads University. Kim is a member of Chartered Professionals in Human Resources – Alberta (CPHR), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and World at Work.

Josh Pollard

VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE

Josh is responsible for corporate and project finance at BluEarth. Since joining BluEarth in 2014, Josh has played a key role in each project the company has brought online and either led, provided oversight, or supported all BluEarth’s financing arrangements. Josh has over 15 years of experience, including 10 years in renewables.

Before joining BluEarth, Josh worked at a corporate bank, focusing on project finance transactions and corporate loan facilities for oil and gas, infrastructure, and real estate projects and companies.

Josh holds a Bachelor of Management (Finance) degree from the University of Lethbridge and is completing an MBA through Queens University.

Sandra DeLuca

VICE PRESIDENT, CONTROLLER

As BluEarth’s Vice President, Controller, Sandra oversees all aspects of accounting, tax and financial reporting at BluEarth.  Since joining BluEarth in 2015, she has been instrumental in guiding the accounting team through complex transactions, including multiple acquisitions and corporate reorganizations that have supported the company’s continued growth. Sandra has more than 20 years of professional experience, 10 of which are in the renewables sector.

Prior to BluEarth, Sandra held a senior manager accounting position within the commercial real estate industry.

Sandra holds an Honours BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
