BluEarth President & CEO Recognized as one of Alberta’s Most Influential People

Calgary, Alberta – June 29, 2015 – BluEarth Renewables Inc. (BluEarth) President & CEO Kent Brown has been named one of Alberta’s most influential people by Alberta Venture, a province-wide business magazine covering the latest issues and trends concerning Alberta’s business community. The list recognizes individuals who have left a positive impression on Alberta’s political, economic or cultural profile through their professional and personal accomplishments.

“It’s an honour to be included in a list among such passionate and innovative leaders,” says Brown. “When we started BluEarth, I had goals that I wanted to accomplish: building a great company with the best team in a short period of time, and building a company that is built to last.”

In under five years, Brown led BluEarth in the acquisition, development, and construction in over $1 billion of long-term contracted, Canadian renewable energy assets.  Prior to co-founding BluEarth, Brown was CEO of Canadian Hydro Developers and was a key contributor in Canadian Hydro becoming Canada’s largest renewable energy company.

It was recently announced that Brown would be transitioning from President & CEO of BluEarth to the role of Executive Advisor, as well as remaining a member of the Board of Directors.
