Burdett Solar Project

Project Summary

SunEEarth Alberta Solar Development Inc., which is wholly-owned by BluEarth Renewables Inc., is proposing an up to 20 megawatt utility-scale solar project located in the County of Forty Mile approximately 1.5 km southwest of Burdett, Alberta.

The Project will involve the installation of solar photovoltaic panels, panel racking systems, internal access roads, cabling, electrical inverters and other related electrical equipment.  The Project equipment will be contained within a single quarter section of land. The exact location of the Project infrastructure within the property has yet to be confirmed and will be determined through additional studies, equipment procurement and engineering designs.

The Project will connect to a local electrical distribution line from the Burdett 368S substation. This connection will be through overhead or underground cables and is expected to be in close proximity to the substation.

BluEarth is committed to engaging stakeholders in the decision-making process for the Project. We believe that trust is the foundation for long-term successful relationships, and we know that trust is only earned over time, by working together with honest and transparent communications. SunEEarth Alberta Solar Development Inc., has recently submitted a power plant application to the Alberta Utilities Commission under Rule 007. Once approved, this application will allow the construction of the Project to begin. Your feedback is very important to us. Should you have any questions or comments about the Project, please call 1-844-214-2578.
